Clashes across Belarus after the dictator "won" the election

Thousands took to the streets of the capital Mink tonight (Monday), chanting "Victory." Drivers honked in sympathy with the opposition, which posed to Lukashenko, known as Europe's last dictator, the biggest challenge to his rule for years.
Police blocked streets and a Reuters eyewitness saw at least ten people arrested at one hotline in Minsk. Local media reported arrests and clashes between police and protesters in the capital and other cities in the former Soviet republic. The government said no protester was injured.

According to samples released by the authorities, Lukashenko received 79.7% of the vote, while his main rival, former English teacher Svetlana Tihnoskaya, won only 6.8%.
