Ginés González García, the Minister of Health of the Nation, explained that if the coronavirus infections soar in the Argentine soccer campuses, the decision to return to training could be reversed, which this Monday will lead the teams of First division.

"There will be a strict surveillance system on the campuses, with daily examinations. Some teams are being decimated in other countries. If that happens in Argentina, we will have to take that measure. If there is a case, we must isolate it, take care of it and control all his colleagues, "explained the minister on radio La Red.

Among the positive cases of Covid-19 that were known after the tests, those of Agustín Almendra (Boca), Ezequiel Centurión (River), Fabricio Bustos (Independent), Thiago Almada and Ricky Álvarez stood out, as well as players from Banfield, Argentinos , Godoy Cruz and Newell's.

In any case, Ginés was satisfied with the joint work they did with the AFA and is confident that the activity will gradually return to normal.

"The AFA wanted to graduate the beginning and it seemed good to us. We could not take exclusive measures for some clubs. They presented their protocol and we approved it. Now we must respect it. There was a very responsible behavior of the AFA, but now everything depends on a great responsibility of all: of the AFA, of the clubs and of the players ", commented Ginés.

The official admitted that the AFA was cornered after they set a return date for the Copa Libertadores. "It was very pressured by the attitude of Conmebol and that bothered. The AFA was the only one that voted in dissent. Brazil is very different from us and the consequences are also very different there. We want to take care of the players. Hopefully it works. good, "he said.

And he added: "Those teams that travel have to be careful. The transfers are going to be in capsules and when they come here, too."

González García assured that "there is a social situation, an economic situation and a general fatigue that also had repercussions" to accelerate the return of football and that also "the Government took into account that there are competitions that have already begun."

Regarding the return of the competition itself, Ginés assured that "the AFA is the one that has to decide responsibly when local football returns in its different categories."
