If Netanyahu succeeds in his mission, the defectors will be banished to the pillar of media disgrace, but over time they will be remembered as brave • Commentary | political

Before the formation of the government, the State of Israel seemed paralyzed. • Only after the formation of the government did it become clear that there was much more to deteriorate.

It would be an understatement to say that the current government is not functioning. Before the formation of the government, it seemed that the State of Israel was paralyzed. A long period of transitional government and endless elections led to this feeling. However, it was not until after the formation of the government that it became clear that there was still much to be done. Like a car with two drivers, one facing forward and one backward, trying to drive together.

The right of veto given to each of the parties apparently canceled the cabinet meeting scheduled for today (Sunday), the Ministerial Committee on Legislation has been inactive for three weeks - and this is just the beginning.

On ordinary days, the frictions in the government could be of interest mainly to ministers, Knesset members, political commentators and some addicts to the Knesset channel. But these are not ordinary days. These are the days when everyone's eyes are on the top decision - makers. The dependence on them is almost complete. They are the ones who determine what the opening of the school year will look like soon, which businesses are allowed to operate and how. What will our weddings look like, the prayers in the synagogues, and the amount of the grant that will go into our account. The current paralysis is at our expense. Naftali Bennett already shouted on Wednesday in the Knesset, how not to move while people are dying. But up there the endless arguments continue.

On the other hand, even elections now are not really a hit. Although a transitional government will probably function better, when the party leaders' attention is mainly on the election staffs, signs and social networks, the treatment of what is needed will be pushed back in favor of slander, slander and ugly propaganda that has already come out of every hole.

More on this topic:

• Exchange of accusations between the Likud and Blue and White about the cancellation of the cabinet meeting; Netanyahu is promoting a narrow government

• Ganz: "Only Netanyahu and Lapid may want elections"

• Netanyahu in the heated debate in the Knesset: "Left-wing demonstrations are conducted from luxury towers and luxury hotels"

In between, out of the chaos and chaos, the 61st option emerged: replacing the government without elections. Netanyahu does not have 61 MKs in hand, so he was forced to go to the current government of horrors. But the attempts to recruit two or three who will move from the other side to him, are in full swing.

The hot names at the moment are Zvika Hauser and Yoaz Handel from the Derech Eretz faction, and Pnina Temano-Sheta and Omar Yankelevich from White Brush. There may be others. These are the languages of Libra, not only of Netanyahu, but of the entire State of Israel.

If the prime minister succeeds in his mission, the defectors will be banished to the media stigma and their names may be mentioned in the Balfour demonstrations, but it is not certain that politically it will be a personal failure. Not every day is an opportunity for so few to emerge from so many critical and ongoing crises.

From a historical point of view, and probably even much earlier, the perpetrators of the brave move will be remembered for the better. Derech Eretz does not pass the blocking percentage and blue and white led by Bnei Gantz is complete. Those who knew how to abandon parties like Kadima and get on the train in time, still roam among us in the leadership. All the rest disappeared into the abyss of oblivion.
