The countries gathered by videoconference on Sunday to provide emergency assistance to Lebanon after the explosion that devastated Beirut announced that this aid would be paid " directly " to the population and in " transparency ".

" The participants agreed that their assistance should (...) be well coordinated under the aegis of the United Nations and provided directly to the Lebanese population, with the maximum efficiency and transparency, " said representatives of a Thirty countries, including Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron, in a statement after the meeting.
