About 1,200 agencies provide foreign domestic helper introduction services
A spokesman for the Labour Department said that there are currently about 1,200 employment agencies with master licenses that provide employment agency services for foreign domestic helpers. The Labour Department has contacted the relevant agencies to confirm that there are agencies that provide accommodation facilities for foreign domestic helpers, and arranged for the testing contractor to send staff to distribute sample bottles to collect deep-throat saliva samples from the foreign domestic helpers.
The spokesman also pointed out that the samples will be collected for testing in the next one to two days. The employment agency must report to the Labour Department the number of foreign domestic helpers who have undergone testing and other relevant information. Virus testing is voluntary
The spokesperson continued that the testing contractor will determine the priority of the employment agency based on the number of occupants and manpower resources in the accommodation facilities of the employment agency. The testing contractor will contact the relevant employment agency to make arrangements before dispatching staff to the employment agency. Virus testing is voluntary.
