Beirut - SANA
Today, the Israeli enemy renewed its air and sea violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
"Two warplanes belonging to the Israeli enemy violated the Lebanese airspace from over the town of Rmeish to over the sea in front of the town of Chekka, and carried out a circular flight over all Lebanese regions, and then left the airspace," the National News Agency quoted the Directorate of Guidance in the Lebanese Army Command in a statement.
The statement added that "two similar planes violated the Lebanese airspace from above the sea west of the town of Naqoura, reaching the town of Shekka, and carried out a circular flight over all Lebanese regions, then left the airspace over the sea west of the town of Naqoura," noting at the same time that an Israeli enemy reconnaissance aircraft penetrated the Lebanese airspace. From over the town of Yaroun, it circled over the southern regions, and then left the airspace over the town of Rmeish.
The statement indicated that an Israeli gunboat violated the Lebanese territorial waters off Ras al-Naqura for a distance of about 166 meters for a period of two minutes. A similar enemy boat also violated the aforementioned sea spot for a distance of about 185 meters for a period of 5 minutes.
The issue of hostile Israeli violations is being pursued in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) operating in Lebanon.
