The Lebanese Army Command denied what was reported by some media outlets and social networking sites about allegations related to the presence of tunnels under the spot of the explosion in Beirut port belonging to one of the Lebanese organizations.

The National Media Agency quoted the Army Command, the Directorate of Orientation, as saying in a statement today: “It is important for the Army Command to categorically deny the validity of these allegations and explain that the silences include an underground building for its management, where access to the silence operations room is accessed through a tunnel that extends from the eastern entrance to the silence towards the west and rotates. Employees around the clock to work in the operating room, which contains the operating systems of the elevators inside the silos and the mechanism for pulling pills from the ships.

The statement renewed its call to the media and social networking sites not to be drawn into rumors, to be dragged into incorrect information, and to return to the concerned parties for any inquiries.
