Customs officers tried to buy six baby headrests from retailers in different regions for safety testing. The results of the government laboratory showed that one of the phthalates (a type of plasticizer) contained 4.3 times the upper limit set by the Ordinance and its subsidiary legislation.

According to the customs, after preliminary investigation, it is believed that the baby headrest comes from Taiwan. The customs officers took action last week and seized three baby headrests of the same style from a retail store. The case is still under investigation.
