(CNN Spanish) - Atlético de Madrid confirmed that Argentine Ángel Correa is one of the two players who tested positive for the covid-19 coronavirus. The player is in isolation and will not travel to Lisbon with the team to play the Champions League.

The team also confirmed in a statement that the other infected player is Croatian defender Sime Vrsaljko, who like Correa is asymptomatic. At the moment, according to the club, no other player or member of the squad has tested positive after tests carried out on Sunday.

«The first team will return to training this afternoon with the absence of Ángel Correa, who remains isolated at his home without presenting symptoms. For his part, Sime Vrsaljko, who was recovering from an injury outside the group, is also asymptomatic and will remain at home by decision of the Medical Services, although his case is considered as resolved by the health authorities as he has generated antibodies (IgG) several months ago. The doctors will supervise the follow-up of both players as established by the health protocol, ”states the statement from Atlético de Madrid.

The team will travel to Lisbon on Tuesday with a squad of 25 players, 21 of them from the main draw and four players from the lower teams to support training.

On Thursday Atlético will play the only match for the quarterfinals of the 'Champions' against Leipzig.
