Update from August 9, 12:18 p.m.: In the US state of Georgia , a seven-year-old boy has now died as a result of a corona infection . The child had no previous illnesses. The boy had a seizure in the shower and was immediately taken to the hospital , where he died a little later.

The boy had caught the disease in a church in Savannah city . There he came into contact with two older parishioners, as reported by FoxNews. These two people also died as a result of Covid-19 . "The boy's death is absolutely tragic and we pray for his loved ones during this difficult time," said Governor Brian Kemp in a television interview.

"Every Covid-19 death is a tragedy, but losing someone so young is heartbreaking," said district health director Lawton Davis about the incident. The doctor continues: “We know that older people or people with previous illnesses have a higher risk of complications . But that's a disease that everyone should take seriously. ” There are over 209,000 confirmed corona cases in the state of Georgia alone, according to Johns Hopkins University. That is only 8,000 fewer infected than in Germany.

She shared the picture on Twitter to show that the rules are not being followed. “I trusted North Paulding that I would be able to learn safely. But that wasn't nearly as certain as I thought, "she said, describing her perception of the American broadcaster.

Hannah Watters wanted to draw attention to the circumstances at her school, which she more than succeeded. Numerous American media recorded their story. Update from August 8, 11:17 a.m.: The corona pandemic is still devastating in the USA - nevertheless, US President Donald Trump defended people who still did not wear a mask in closed rooms . Specifically, guests of his golf club . Trump's reasoning: There are exceptions to the mask requirement for "political activities," said Trump on Friday evening in his golf club in Bedminster , New Jersey . His official press conference as US president was also a  "peaceful protest," he continued.

Members of the golf club had been invited to attend Trump's press conference there. The guests knew that the media only spread false information ( "fake news" ), so their presence constitutes a political protest , Trump explained - to the great cheers of his guests . According to reports from journalists present and in photos, most of the guests did not wear a mask.
