Sheep evacuated in disaster to give way to revelers. In the Cévennes National Park, in Lozère, a rave party was improvised this weekend, without authorizations, to the chagrin of farmers on the ground. The "ravers" settled in the thousands on Saturday evening in the town of Hures-la-Parade. At the height of the event, they were nearly 10,000, while the limitation of gatherings to 5,000 people, due to the coronavirus epidemic, is still in order. On Sunday, mobile gendarmes were dispatched to the scene to monitor the situation and provide hydroalcoholic masks and gels. The risks related to the health situation are worrying, but the damage caused is also at the heart of the concerns.

The revelers were still 3,500 Monday evening on this preserved site of Lozère. 180 gendarmes and a team of judicial police began an evacuation "in waves" of the participants, which could take up to 48 hours.
