The chairman of the Finance Committee, MK Moshe Gafni (Torah Judaism), expressed outrage at the conduct. "I would like to commend the National Insurance Institute, led by CEO Meir Spiegler, for the speed with which the grants were transferred to every citizen we approved in the Finance Committee," Gafni said. "I take advantage of this stage and call on them - stop these requests immediately. There is no connection between the grants and the things you are asking for, release the money to the citizens."
