Penzberg - The newly founded association “Freizeitgärten Breitfilz” hopes to receive a lease agreement for the Breitfilz facility from the city of Penzberg in the course of next year, in order to then be able to sub-lease the parcels. Fire protection concept is available, development plan is on its way
As reported, there have recently been a number of advances in the wide felt system, which has been banned from use for two and a half years. On the one hand, there is now a fire protection concept that provides a tank for 48 cubic meters of extinguishing water and better ways. On the other hand, the city council sent a development plan into the process. Thirdly, the “Breitfilz Team” recently transformed into the Breitfilz Leisure Garden Association. This association, which so far consists of the six-member board, is to become the general tenant of the leisure gardens once the legal side has been clarified. He then leases the parcels to his members.
Breitfilz-Verein expects that around 300 parcels will be available in the end
According to chairman Paul Hattemer, no members are currently being accepted. Interested people could get in touch. There is great potential for old tenants and many newcomers, he said. According to him, the goal is that old tenants - if they are interested - get their previous parcels back. Vice chairman Walter Höck said that between 100 and 150 interested parties had registered so far. Hattemer believes that around 300 plots will be available.

District Administrator Jochner-Weiß said it used to be a messy situation. With the termination of the lease contracts, things went too fast at the time. And a "persistent advocate" was missing. The wide felt system is close to her heart, said Jochner-Weiß. Of course, it is critical because of the proximity to the raised bog, and special attention is also paid to fire protection in the process. Chairman Hattemer said that the association had a significant interest in ensuring that the water stayed in the moor and did not dry out. With regard to the development plan, he hopes that the association will receive feedback from the city in two or three months as to whether and where there is a need for correction. He also hopes to get a draft lease shortly. Hattemer described the cooperation with the city (“We can only find a solution together”) as very good. For example, the city organized the six-week clean-up operation, during which many old huts were demolished, the containers and the removal. During a control inspection by the Breitfilz team beforehand, 130 of the more than 300 parcels were identified as having a "significant need for action", said Hattemer.
