Damascus-Sana
A tour of the oriental world of maqam, rhythm and improvisation was the feature of a concert by oud player and composer Kinan Adnaoui, which was hosted by the Drama Theater of Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
With the participation of the musicians, Adnawi presented old pieces of his composition and various new ones (technically and technically) written for the oud, either as a single instrument or accompanied by other musical instruments, with the adoption of improvisations, which are basically his musical project.
The performance was dominated by a sense of high technique and integration with the instrument that Adnaoui mastered playing for 25 years, as the stages of his development were combined with science and passion to lead him to complete his higher academic studies in the field of contemporary improvisation in America and to play on international theaters with great musicians.
Adnawi is currently working on a special project in improvisation with various schools of oriental music.
It is noteworthy that Kanan Adnawi is an oud player and composer who graduated from the Higher Institute of Music in 2008 and worked on highlighting new forms, methods and techniques for oud by holding many musical events and participated in international festivals and won first places in international competitions on the oud and he holds a master's in music from the University of New England Conservatory of America.
