The 4 quarantine centers provide a total of 2,682 units. In addition, with the development of the epidemic, community isolation facilities have recently been added, including Zhangmutou Holiday Center for the Elderly, and Leiyuemen Park Resort. The former has 49 units and the latter has 350 units.
Looking at the information, Hong Kong originally had more locations designated as designated quarantine centers, but they have been returned or changed to other uses, such as Junyang Village. In fact, the government is also building an additional quarantine center. Penny's Bay was originally reserved for tourism development. The construction of the quarantine center started as early as the end of June. It can provide an additional 700 units and is estimated to be operational by the end of September. In addition, the government will invest in the second phase of Penny's Bay Disneyland to build an additional 2,000 units and strive to be completed by the end of this year. In other words, the two can provide an additional 2,700 units. If calculated based on current data, after the return of Junyang Village, There will be 3,804 units at the end of this year, which is more than the current number. Carrie Lam said earlier that experts believe that there may be an outbreak in winter, but she believes that the units in Penny's Bay will be enough to cope with the next wave of epidemics.
