Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has chosen his running mate and is expected to announce it tonight (Wednesday), CNN reported.

Biden, former Vice President Barack Obama, promised to elect a woman as a candidate and his final list included congressmen and former black government members, led by Sen. Camela Harris and former National Security Adviser Susan Rice.

If Biden defeats incumbent Republican President Donald Trump in November, the United States will have its first wife as vice president. So far this year, there have been a total of two vice presidential candidates - Sarah Palin with Republican John McCain in 2008 and Geraldine Ferrero with Democratic Walter Mondale in 1984.
