Beirut - SANA

The Lebanese army announced that it will continue searching for the missing in the Beirut port explosion, in cooperation with rescue teams deployed at the scene of the explosion.

"The Lebanese army, in cooperation with the Lebanese and foreign rescue teams, continues to search for the missing," the army command said in a statement tonight, noting that a body had been recovered in addition to the remains of victims.

On the other hand, a specialized team from the Engineering Regiment removed the remains of the cracked wall due to the great danger it poses to the lives of rescuers, while about four thousand cubic meters of rubble were removed at the site of the explosion.

On the other hand, dozens of Lebanese carried out a solidarity stand this evening with the families of the victims and those injured in the explosion in the port of Beirut, to mark the passage of a week since the port explosion in the locality of the port.

The Lebanese National News Agency stated that footage of the moments of the explosion was shown on a giant screen, after which they headed to Martyrs' Square carrying candles to light them.

The number of victims of the explosion in the port rose to 171, according to what was announced today by the Lebanese Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Hamad Hassan.
