Last update date: 2020-08-12 09:53The police yesterday (11th) arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of "murder" in connection with a 2011 murder case in Tuen Mun in which an 18-year-old youth died.
The murder occurred at about 1:00 am on December 5, 2011. A young man surnamed Guo (18 years old) was chased by three swordsmen off Liang Tian Village, Sun Sau Street, Tuen Mun. He had multiple knives in his body. He was then run over by a vehicle of the murderer and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was killed. ; The three swordsmen escaped in a private car. It is reported that the deceased was named "Guo Jing", and the incident involved a gang conflict that eventually led to the death of 1 young man.
Within 6 years after the incident, the New Territories North Regional Crime Squad arrested 13 men involved in the case. After seeking legal advice, a 17-year-old youth was charged in 2011 for "manslaughter". He was convicted of a crime of "manslaughter" in the High Court in 2013 and sentenced to 6 years in prison; another 19-year-old youth, then He was charged with "murder" in 2013. In 2014, he was convicted of one count of "murder" in the High Court and sentenced to life imprisonment.
As of yesterday (11th), when the police intercepted a suspicious 30-year-old man in North Point, he was found to be one of the suspects who had absconded in the case for more than 8 years, and he was immediately arrested. He is currently being detained for investigation.
