A number of accidents have shown that the bathing ban in the Isar should not be taken lightly . On Saturday, July 4th, several rubber dinghies capsized on the torrent. A rescuer reported on dramatic scenes on the Isar. Also this Sunday a rubber dinghy with three men was on the Isar at night. The men were stuck with the boat at the weir and put themselves and the rescuers in mortal danger (Merkur.de * reported). However, the hundreds of Munich residents who romped about in the river on Sunday did not seem to be aware of the danger .

After the heavy rainfall , a heat wave is rolling over Bavaria and the whole of Germany . The German metropolises are sweating, but Munich has a special role to play. At the weekend a hot 35 degrees were reached in Cologne and Hamburg also sweated at 32 degrees . In the Bavarian capital , however, "only" 28 degrees were measured. The temperature was for many Munich but high enough ado about the ban on swimming in the Isar ignore.
