Suspicion: A father attacked his infant son and caused him fractures. A Netanya resident in his 20s was arrested and questioned by the police on suspicion of assaulting his eight-month-old son. The investigation was opened after the baby was hospitalized a few days ago at Laniado Hospital in the city suffering from a hand crisis and rib fractures.
Hospital staff reported the baby's condition to police, as required by law. Police opened an investigation and arrested the father on suspicion of harming the child and causing him fractures. The father denies the suspicions attributed to him.

• Prosecutor's statement against the "abusive parents" from Ashkelon
Last week, a prosecutor's statement was filed against a couple from Ashkelon who were arrested on suspicion of severely abusing their three-month-old baby son. The parents were arrested following a report received by the police by Barzilai Hospital, after suspicion arose of a medical examination performed on the baby, in which it was revealed that he was suffering from severe injuries to all parts of his body.
The police officers who arrested the couple were stunned when their identities became clear, as these are the same parents who were arrested last May on suspicion of abusing the same baby, who was then a few days old. Their investigation revealed that the father was allegedly the main abuser in his son.
