The governorate of Damascus completed the laying of an asphalt shirt "final layer" to Barzeh Road, Tishreen Military Hospital, as part of the road rehabilitation and maintenance project to improve the service reality and improve roads and public facilities.
The workshops carried out asphalting works for the road, starting from the Military Police intersection to Tishreen Hospital, with a length of about 1200 meters, a varying width of up to 20 meters, and an area that needed 26 thousand tons of asphalt, according to the director of supervision in the governorate, Engineer Hassan Traboulsi, indicating that the road was completely reopened after it was cut for four days within Asphalting works.
Traboulsi explained that the workshops are continuing the final work of rehabilitating the sidewalks on both sides of the road, installing lighting poles, working on planning the road and putting traffic signs in order to be finally ready before the end of this month.
