Peiting / Altenstadt - Without the Corona crisis, Hoerbiger would probably not have made this decision: The planned move from Peiting to Altenstadt was stopped, as the company has now announced. As reported, the training and further education center as well as the test center of the drive technology division should actually be relocated from Peiting to Altenstadt at the end of the year. The rooms there are becoming vacant because the hydraulics specialist HAWE is leaving the Altenstadt site. The Hoerbiger business area “Flow Control” is already located in the building.
"A move is always associated with investments," explains Hoerbiger spokesman Jens Geisel. “For example, the training workshop would have to move completely. Moving all of this costs a certain amount of money. At the moment we don't want to raise them, ”said Geisel. Instead, the money is to be used elsewhere "for key projects" in order to get the company through the crisis. "So far we have succeeded very well, it should stay that way," says Geisel.

Thomas Englmann, Head of the Drive Technology Division and Site Manager, sees it like this: “We made the right decisions quickly and accurately and focused on the most important issues: The health of our employees and the supply of our customers. For this reason, we decided to continue the Peiting location and stopped moving to Altenstadt before the start of the project. "
Hoerbiger is now looking for local companies to rent the premises in Altenstadt.

According to the company, this situation-related decision does not change anything for the Hoerbiger “Flow Control” division. "Flow Control will definitely stay in Altenstadt," said Hoerbiger spokesman Jens Geisel. The now free space in the building is to be rented out. "We are currently examining the possibilities of sublet the 2,000 square meters of hall space still available to local companies," explains Philipp Baldermann, Managing Director of Flow Control and responsible for the relocation project.

For Peiting's mayor Peter Ostenrieder, the news that Hoerbiger is staying in the village is “only positive”. He is especially pleased that the training continues to take place in Peiting. “The training center is, so to speak, a complete company in terms of equipment, and it works that way. I therefore absolutely welcome this decision and see it as “good news of the day” for me and for the Peiting market! ”Said Ostenrieder. There were already interested parties for the premises in Pürschlingerstrasse, but “it would have been regrettable if Hoerbiger had left Peiting entirely”.

The fact that Hoerbiger is staying in Peiting does not mean any problems for ept. “In the current layout, the buildings are not so well suited for our purposes and would have required some renovation work. For this reason we had not pursued our interest in the buildings. There were still no concrete plans for the use of the building, ”said Thomas Guglhör, managing partner of ept.
