Iraq canceled the visits of all the Turkish regime officials to it, and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the ambassador of this regime in Baghdad and handed him a protest note against the background of the Turkish forces' continuing violations of Iraqi lands.

A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry stated that the Iraqi government canceled the visit of the Turkish Minister of Defense to Baghdad, as well as all the visits scheduled for Turkish officials at the present time.

The statement indicated that the recent Turkish breach was represented by a drone bombing of the Sidekan area, which caused the death of two officers and a soldier from the Iraqi army.

The statement indicated that the protest memo delivered by the Undersecretary of the Ministry Ambassador Abdul Karim Hashem to the Turkish regime ambassador Fatih Yildiz held the Turkish government responsible for this sinful attack and demanded the Turkish side to clarify its circumstances and hold the perpetrators accountable.

The statement indicated that the Turkish raid targeted, for the first time, Iraqi military leaders who were on a mission to control security on the borders between the two countries, and that what Turkey had done was a hostile act and a violation of the sovereignty and sanctity of the country.

The memorandum stressed the need for the government of the Turkish regime to stop its bombing and withdraw its aggressive forces from all Iraqi lands.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish regime forces have repeatedly violated the sanctity of Iraqi lands and were stationed at the end of 2015 in the Bashiqa area near the city of Mosul in northern Iraq, which was confirmed by the Iraqi government that it constitutes aggression and a violation of Iraqi sovereignty and in violation of the rules of international law and demanded the withdrawal of Turkish forces.
