Emmanuel Macron warned on Wednesday August 12 against " any external interference " in Lebanon during a telephone interview with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, after the explosion which devastated Beirut eight days ago and provoked anti-government demonstrations .

The Head of State recalled " the need for all the powers concerned to avoid any escalation of tensions, as well as any external interference and to support the establishment of a mission government in charge of managing the emergency, ”said the Elysee in a statement.
