They were released on bail last night. This (12th) afternoon, Lai Chi-ying stepped out of his home on Kadoorie Road in Ho Man Tin, waved to the media present and boarded his car and drove straight to the Apple Building in Tseung Kwan O. After being detained for nearly two days, a large number of police officers searched the Apple Building. When Li Zhiying returned to the Apple Building today, he received a warm welcome from his colleagues. Li Zhiying said to the colleagues present, "Keep it down, everyone keep it down."

At about 12 noon, Li Zhiying arrived at the Apple Building in a car. A security guard held up a yellow umbrella for him to block the rain. When entering the lobby, staff clapped and cheered. Li Zhiying called "I am so happy to return" and told colleagues and readers thank. He also said that he was "moved" by readers who bought newspapers to support Apple Daily yesterday, and continued that "Apple will definitely survive." Li Zhiying said that he is not worried about personal safety.
