Last month, the Sweida Chamber of Agriculture granted 22 certificates of origin to exporters to export about 500 tons of peaches and summer apples to Egypt.
The head of the As-Suwayda Chamber of Agriculture, Hatem Abu Ras, stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the exported quantities are produced by As-Suwayda and other Syrian governorates, pointing out that there are difficulties facing exporters related to high shipping costs and low prices within the Egyptian market.
Abu Ras indicated that the Chamber will continue granting certificates of origin to export quantities of agricultural products to foreign markets during the coming period.
