The imputation of Podemos as a legal person and several members of its leadership has led to the outpouring of the opposition, which has charged hard this Wednesday against the political formation and against its leader, Pablo Iglesias. PP, Cs and Vox have demanded explanations from the second vice president of the Government and have even asked for his resignation. Pedro Sánchez, for his part, has just reserved a few sentences this Wednesday to talk about the issue and express, at a press conference after meeting with Felipe VI, his "maximum respect for the independence of the judges and their work." In his speech he has not defended his coalition partner.

The popular ones, who had already been attacking Iglesias for weeks over the Dina case , have now multiplied the dimension of their offensive. Numerous party officials have demanded the departure of the Podemos leader from the Executive. “This populist with unlimited ambition cannot be vice president of the Government of Spain. Someone who is constantly moving in the sewers, along with the accusation of his party, his leadership and the corruption that cornered him, is disqualified for the position ", has manifested the conservative formation in its official Twitter account, from where it has spread the hashtag # PabloIglesiasDimisión.

"Box B demands the removal of the vice president of Sánchez with the same yardstick of his motion of censure," insisted the president of the PP, Pablo Casado. "The United We Can does not have a pass. Instead of assuming political responsibilities, what he does is attack justice. A government party should strengthen the institutions and not erode them, because they attack the rule of law ”, Pablo Montesinos, deputy and deputy secretary of Communication, also had an impact on La Moncloa:“ Iglesias is vice president thanks to Sánchez ”. The popular ones have also wanted to emphasize that Iglesias has not come out to give explanations.

In that same line, Ciudadanos has moved precisely. The formation headed by Inés Arrimadas has urged the leader of Podemos to “show her face” and has requested her appearance in Congress. “It is unprecedented that Pablo Iglesias does not give explanations to the Spanish about the accusation of Podemos and high-ranking officials of his party for illegal financing. Their attacks on justice will not be able to cover up the truth ”, stressed Miguel Gutiérrez, Cs deputy and member of its executive committee. "They avoid being held accountable and act like the caste they criticized so much," Arrimadas added. "The Spanish deserve to know the role that [Iglesias] has played in the alleged irregularities," said Toni Canto, leader of the party in the Valencian Community.

The ultra Vox force has stated, for its part, that this investigation further justifies the motion of censure that they have announced for September. “The most serious thing about the financing of Podemos is not its illegality, like that of the PP or PSOE. The terrible thing is that this money comes from narco-dictatorships and totalitarian regimes that have managed to destabilize our nation with a monstrosity of government sponsored by the enemies of Spain, ”said the far-right leader Santiago Abascal.
