According to the website of the Judiciary, the High Court will deal with it this Friday (14th).

The plaintiff was Lai Yin Co., Ltd., the owner of the shop involved, and the defendant was Chickeeduck Retail (Hong Kong) Limited.

The plaintiff filed a complaint that the defendant failed to remove the statue involved in the shop window at Shop 2191C on the second floor of Tuen Mun Town Plaza, which violated the lease signed by the plaintiff and the defendant in July last year.

Request to remove the statue within 24 hours

The plaintiff asked the court to issue an injunction order, and the defendant removed the statue in the shop within 24 hours of the court order. If the plaintiff did not remove the statue in accordance with the court order, the plaintiff may enter the shop to remove it. The plaintiff also requested the court to issue an injunction order, and the defendant could not display the items objected by the plaintiff in writing in the shop. The plaintiff also requested the defendant to pay compensation for breach of the lease.

Chickeeduck had placed the "Goddess of Democracy" in its branch in Discovery Park, but it was later removed by the mall. At the end of June this year, Zhou Xiaolong, CEO of Chickeeduck, received an email notification from the landlord that the lease will not be renewed and he needs to move out within 21 days.
