Quarantine, episode 10. The new extension that will begin on Monday will not have too many differences with respect to the current situation. It is known that the City of Buenos Aires will uphold his idea, which went through a previous talk between the Head of Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, and President Alberto Fernández, of adding individual outdoor sports and opening more shops . The contagion scenario does not give much more. And now it transpired that it is under evaluation to remove the DNI restriction for outdoor physical activity.

The runners were the axis of a fight more political than health. They let them run, then put them away. And after July 17 they were enabled again. Now we are thinking of eliminating the current restriction , which has to do with the fact that on odd days those with a document ending in odd come out and on even days those whose ID ends with even (zero included).

In parks and squares of the City, although there are awareness-raising, police and traffic agents, it is rare to see that the DNI is requested. So, making this restriction more flexible is a decision that would not have a great real impact and would not change too much the scenario of what happens every day between 6 and 10, the allowed time, which in principle would not undergo changes.

At the same time, it would serve to show another advance in stage 2 that the City intends to initiate. It is the second of the 6 that make up the gradual start-up plan of the City and that could have started on Monday, August 3, but was postponed due to the high level of cases in the City and the Greater Buenos Aires. Of that stage, this week the libraries without permanence , the maintenance in museums and the theater were allowed through streaming.

"Cases have been stable for three or four weeks, with weeks in which they rise a little and others in which they fall. It is a high number, which reaches 1,200. We are on a high plateau , " he explained this Wednesday by In the morning, the Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, disseminating the City's situation report.

"If we all make the effort to comply with and accompany the care that must be taken, and that means that the number of chaos stabilizes or decreases, we will be able to continue adding activities gradually. But we will proceed with caution, especially this week We have to wait for the cases of the next few days and see if we can add actions that involve little risk, "added Quirós.

"The shops in areas such as Once were left for a second stage due to the volume of circulation that these sidewalks have, where there is not too much space and it could generate greater risk," said the minister regarding the chance to open stores in the areas called of high traffic and in the surroundings of the transshipment centers.

Until now, the idea of the City is to allow staggered openings, according to the number of CUIT of the merchants, so that they open every other day and do not generate crowds. In fact, on Thursday there will be a meeting between government officials and representatives of the Buenos Aires Trade Federation (FECOBA) to adjust the details. Many of these businesses already work with the blinds in the middle (they can sell through delivery ) and last week there were several who decided to start with the face-to-face sale in protest.

From the City they assure that 93 percent of the premises already work. And they seek to give a solution to those of Once, and also those of Avellaneda Avenue, in Flores, and those of Retiro and Constitución, which are the ones that still could not function normally.

As for individual sports , the return of activities such as golf or tennis, which are the ones that most people employ, are scheduled to start operating from Monday. It will be in outdoor places and with restrictions on the use of common spaces such as bars or changing rooms.

Those who will continue to wait will be the restaurants. For stage 2 it was planned that tables would be enabled on the sidewalks , although without waiters and with disposable cutlery. But once again "the high plateau" in which the City is (1,200 infections on Tuesday) and the number of cases that the Province registers daily (on Tuesday there were 4,576 new cases).
