The Syrian Railways branch in Tartous, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate in the governorate, executed today a practical statement that included simulations of firefighting, rescue, ambulance and evacuation work.

The Director of the Tartous Railways Branch, Dr.Mudhar Al-Araj, told SANA's correspondent that the statement is the conclusion of the training course that a number of the corporation’s members underwent and lasted for 5 days, and it is one of a group of data that is conducted annually to raise the readiness of the corporation’s staff to deal with emergency cases.

In turn, Wasim Al-Khatib, head of the Self-Protection Department at the Railways Branch and the supervisor of the course, explained that the number of trainees in the course is 20 elements, and its importance lies in raising the level of workers to deal with any emergency event and to ensure their readiness.

Brigadier General Ibrahim Safatli, Director of Civil Defense in Tartous, confirmed that the civil defense personnel are training various elements of public and private entities in the work of evacuation, ambulance, rescue and firefighting so that everyone is on a high degree of readiness to face any event anywhere.

Yasser Dayoub, head of the readiness department in the governorate, indicated that the statement is made in coordination between the Ministry of Transport and the Directorate of Civil Defense and the governorate to train employees on all civil defense work while providing everything necessary for the success of these courses.

A number of trainees emphasized the importance of the course in raising their ability to deal with any emergency so that they would have a complete idea of ​​how to face it.
