In one of those days when the quarantine takes a leave and leaves the prominence to a day of 15 degrees and pure sun, San Isidro enabled bars, cafes and restaurants to set up outdoor benches . It is called "Take Away Plus" and although it does not allow tables or the sale of alcohol in any of the cases, it is a way to start, gradually, with the reopening and this new normality after coronavirus quarantine.

Now, residents will be able to eat outdoors "in situ", sitting on individual benches with the distance established by the protocol. Tables will not be allowed . Until now, gastronomy establishments could send their orders at home or prepare them for customers to pick them up on the spot.

The take away plus lifts the glove and places itself on the shoulder of one of the economic sectors most affected by the quarantine, offering an alternative that invites the neighbors to go out more. "People are happy to be sitting on a bench, we cannot believe it. We are excited because at first we could not open and sell, then we went to take away and we had to 'kick out the people who were standing there drinking coffee for fear of being shut down. People need that: to talk. And this new modality invites us to chat even with strangers, we are stupid ", describes Cristina Matulich, one of the owners of Preto Café.

In the case of this little bar passing over the Martínez station there are eight benches, each separated by two meters. They also have a store in San Isidro under the same modality.

"We are excited because at first we could not open and sell, then we went to take away and we had to 'kick out' the people who were standing there having coffee for fear of being closed down," they said in one of the stores.

Until now, the local gastronomy was authorized by the municipality to send the orders or prepare them and that the clients looked for them by the place (pick up). "The idea is to follow the drive-in line , that is, to offer residents a recreational outing that is super regulated and at the same time decompresses the anxiety and anguish of the confinement that they have been following for more than four months," explained sources from the Municipality.

Likewise, Take Away Plus has a detailed and customized protocol, which among other requirements determines that it can work from Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and during the weekend, from Friday to Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 0 p.m. : 00.

The material used to serve customers (glasses, cutlery, plates) must be absolutely disposable and must be discarded after use. The common use of items such as oil cans, salt shakers, napkin holders is not allowed.

In addition, traditional "letters" or menus should be replaced by QR code systems or visible signs, or any other method that does not involve manipulation. Likewise, the use of face masks continues to govern for customers and employees, who must also have all the protection elements.
