During the conflict, a 10-year-old daughter cut her father's hand with a knife. The daughter was also injured when the two clashed. Police officers arrived at the scene and arrested the girl on charges of assault. The 30-year-old father was also arrested for ordinary assault. Afterwards, the girl was sent to hospital by ambulance, but her father refused to send her to hospital. The police are still investigating the case. Some villagers in Xiawanyao Village said that the father and daughter had disputes from time to time, and they also called the police several times.
