Söder gives press conference after Corona test breakdown in Bavaria
SPD General Secretary Lars Klingbeil sees Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder responsible after the breakdown in corona tests. The CSU boss had to clear up the devastating errors when testing travelers returning home, but above all to fix them consistently, said Klingbeil on Thursday of the German press agency. "Mr. Söder staged himself as a crisis manager for months and can now not shift the responsibility to his minister." The fact that 900 infected people were not informed about their test results make the joint fight against the corona virus more difficult.
Because of the delayed sending of test results, 900 citizens from allegedly several federal states who tested positive when they returned from their vacation abroad knew nothing of their infections by Wednesday evening and were therefore able to infect other people. A total of 44,000 travelers returned from voluntary tests at motorway service stations and main train stations waiting for results.
