(CNN) - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle put down roots in Santa Barbara, California.
A representative for the couple told CNN that they moved into the home last month.
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their family home in July this year," the spokesman said in a statement. "They have settled in the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected by their neighbors, as well as by them as a family," he added.
The couple can now call some of their famous friends neighbors, like Oprah Winfrey, who lives nearby.
This new chapter comes just a few months after another closed. In January, the two announced that they were leaving the royal family, giving up their royal titles. They said at the time that they wanted to be financially independent.
"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to transition this year to begin forging a new progressive role within this institution," the couple wrote in a statement posted on their old Instagram account earlier this year. year. "We intend to step back as 'senior' members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty the Queen," they added.

It didn't go as planned. The palace issued its own statement in response and several conversations took place. Soon after, the couple moved to Canada with their son, Archie.
The couple have kept a low profile since moving to Markle's hometown of Los Angeles. They have been seen delivering food to people in need during the pandemic since they officially resigned from their royal duties in March.
Markle also appears to be returning to her Hollywood roots as the narrator of the Disney + documentary "Elephants."
