She also called on Lebanese politicians to unite in order to overcome, with joint efforts, the repercussions of the disaster in Beirut and get the country out of this crisis.

In another context, Zakharova expressed Moscow's concern about the attempts of external pressure and interference in Belarus, and said: “We observe unprecedented pressure exerted by foreign partners on the Belarusian authorities and there are clear attempts for external interference in the affairs of a sovereign state with the aim of dividing society and destabilizing the situation.”

She added: “We are closely following the events that are taking place in Belarus in recent days and we are concerned about reports of unrest in the streets of several Belarusian cities after the presidential elections. On our part, we call on all parties to exercise restraint and rationality, and we affirm our interest in stability in the internal political situation there and expect For the situation in the country to return to normal soon and for calm to return.

Concerning Russian-Belarusian relations, Zakharova stressed that all attempts to fabricate a rift in relations between Moscow and Minsk by searching for an alleged "Russian effect" in stirring up unrest in this country are doomed to failure, and she said: “I would like to confirm that Russia was and remains a reliable ally and friend. For Belarus and the brotherly Belarusian people .. We are sure that the attempts to create a rift between us will definitely fail. ”

The Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko recently announced that the Internet in the country was cut off from abroad to stir up unrest at home following the release of the results of the presidential elections, which he won by more than 80 percent.
