Last week's rains had something bad, but also something good. In any case, the construction work on the district road between Tölz and Königsdorf is progressing.

Wackersberg - The work on the district road between Bad Tölz and Königsdorf (Töl 7) is progressing well. Stefan Vogt from the State Building Authority reports this on request. At the beginning of the full closure, a temporary sidewalk could be created along the construction site at short notice in order to enable a short connection on foot in the direction of Bad Tölz or Oberfischbach, at least for the residents of the Hoheneck. The new retaining wall can already be seen. “The soil is currently being replaced and the retaining wall is gradually being built higher,” says Vogt. As reported, the road has sunk on a section of Töl 7. The reason for this is the changing water levels in the reservoir, which washed out the fine particles in the subsoil.

In the past week, the construction site had to rest for two days due to the heavy rain. Vogt: "At the moment it cannot be foreseen whether this will have a negative effect on the progress of construction and the set goal of at least provisionally opening the road again by the end of the holidays."

The precipitation would also have had something positive. The position of the water-bearing layer in the subsoil could thus be clearly identified and appropriate measures for better and harmless drainage of the layer water from the area could be determined locally.

In the area in which the road has sunk, the entire existing road superstructure was expanded with a sidewalk and cycle path. According to Vogt, the construction company and the engineering office are working intensively on moving the measure forward. During the work on the Kreisstraße, it is completely closed, as is continuously reported.
