The industrial city of Hassia recorded a remarkable growth in the number of productive establishments and new investors during the first half of this year. An increase of 32 new productive establishments and 5 new investors were recorded compared to the same period last year.

Dr. Bassam Al-Mansour, Director of Hassia Industrial City, told SANA that the number of establishments that entered into production in Hassia during the first half of this year amounted to 266 establishments with a capital of 69 billion and 712 million pounds that employed 8,163 workers, corresponding to in the same period last year 234 productive establishments with an estimated capital 62 billion and 338 million pounds employed 7,630 workers and technicians, indicating that the total number of investors in Hassia amounted to 935 investors, including 12 new investors during the first half of this year.

He added that the total number of establishments in Hassia since the start of work in it in the year 2004 until the end of the first half of this year reached 935 establishments with a total capital estimated at 204 billion and 875 million pounds that provided about 25,394 job opportunities in various specializations, pointing to the achievement of revenues of more than one billion and 190 million During the first half of the current year.

The percentage of the area sold in Hassia by the end of the first half of this year is about 64 percent in the various industrial sectors.
