Iran denies US allegations that fuel tankers bound for Venezuela have stopped

Iran's ambassador to Venezuela, Hajjatollah Soltani, has denied allegations by an American newspaper about stopping tankers carrying Iranian fuel on their way to Venezuela.

Sultani described in a statement today the allegations of the Wall Street Journal as a "lie and poured into the context of the psychological warfare waged by the US imperialist media apparatus."

Sultani clarified that the tankers are not Iranian and that their owner or flags are not linked to Iran.
