After starring locally ... Boxer Abdul Rahman aspires to foreign achievements

Haydara Ghadeer Abdul Rahman shone in boxing through the governorate and republic championships, to achieve his ambition to join the ranks of the national team waiting to represent Syria in the upcoming foreign tournaments and raise the nation's flag high in Arab and international forums.

In a statement to the SANA sports bulletin, Abd al-Rahman explained that he joined the Al-Bassel Olympic Center in Lattakia to start his sports career in boxing under the supervision of coach Mohamed Kazak since 2017, and in his first participation in 2019, he managed to achieve first place in the governorate championship in the junior category with a weight of 64 kg in addition to the bronze medal in Republic championship to join the ranks of the junior national team.

Abdel-Rahman said that obtaining the bronze medal was an incentive and motivation for him to do more training and adhere to the coaches' directives to improve his level technically and physically, as he was able to prove the strength of his grip through his participation in the Republic Youth Championship in 2020 that took place in Lattakia Governorate and crowned the gold weight of 81 kg despite the fact that It weighed 75 kg and participated with players in the higher category under the name of Student Club.

Abdel-Rahman added that he had received an invitation to join the ranks of the national team for the youth category this year and to join the training camp that took place recently in Damascus in preparation for participating in foreign tournaments and sporting entitlements.

Trainer Mohamed Qazak believes that Abdul Rahman is one of the distinguished boxers and possesses a strong grip, high self-confidence, endurance, strength, fitness, flexibility and high concentration, and is good at dribbling and avoiding strikes and speed by directing punches to the opponent, which makes him a strong upcoming champion in the world of boxing.
