Scientists of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, after resuming excavations within the Kremlin's borders, have found various objects belonging to high-ranking nobles who lived during the 14th and 15th centuries AD.

The Russian Novosti Agency quoted the media office of the Institute of Archeology as saying in a statement today that the archeology experts at the institute began excavations in the Kremlin in May 2019 with the aim of studying the layers of civilization at this site and the main scientific result they obtained was the discovery of the effects of the building for the preservation of orders Governmental bodies of the Russian state in the 16th and 17th centuries AD.

In the statement, the archaeologists of the Academy’s Institute of Archeology resumed in July 2020 the excavations in the Grand Kremlin Square, which had begun in 2019 with a work program that included continuing to study the command building and delve deeper into the ground layers in the hope of reaching the first layers.

The statement indicated that the scientific results obtained by the scientists a month and a half after the resumption of excavations were to find necessary information indicating the first date on which the Kremlin hill was inhabited and information about the Moscow civilization, as among the things that were found were a unique set of military equipment and things. And items used in Christian worship and household items belonging to the Moscow elite in the 14th and 15th centuries AD, including shields, helmets, arrowheads, coins of Prince Vasily 1389-1425 and others.

Also among the objects found was a cross with a prominent image and the remains of a golden dragon dating back to the golden circles with high artistic accuracy, as these objects expressed the lifestyle in Moscow in the 14th and 15th centuries AD and also indicated the presence of a high-ranking noble elite in the Kremlin at that period.
