The Russian Foreign Ministry affirmed that the almost unanimous rejection of the members of the UN Security Council for the US draft resolution aimed at extending the arms embargo on Iran is “conclusive evidence of the existence and influence of international law and as a reminder to the Americans of it,” noting that Moscow continues its efforts to prevent the United States from undermining international legal foundations .

RIA Novosti reported that the Russian Foreign Ministry called in a statement today not to delay the holding of the UN Security Council summit proposed by Moscow for the permanent members of the Council, with the participation of Germany and Iran, in order to start a meaningful dialogue and constructive cooperation in the right direction, expressing hope that this proposal will receive broad support.
