US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he " probably will not " attend the summit on Iran proposed by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

The Kremlin strongman on Friday called for a summit of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council with Germany and Iran amid heightened tensions over a possible extension of the international embargo on the sales of weapons in Tehran.
Mr. Trump has also promised a response in the form of a " snapback ", a mechanism that is in a way a veto right in reverse, after the snub suffered by Washington during the rejection by the Security Council of '' a resolution to extend the embargo.
