The search and rescue teams of the Lebanese army, in cooperation with the fire brigade teams and the Lebanese Red Cross, recovered two bodies and body parts of one of the victims of the explosion that occurred in the Beirut port on the fourth of this month from under the rubble in the spot near the wheat slums.
The Lebanese army said in a statement that "its search and rescue teams and other teams operating in the Beirut port continue their operations in search of more missing persons."
The naval forces in the Lebanese army, in cooperation with the civil defense teams, were able yesterday to retrieve a body from inside a car that had been thrown by the blast to the bottom of the sea in front of the Beirut port. The remains of victims were also recovered from the silence operations room.
The Lebanese Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Hamad Hassan, announced yesterday that the victims of the port blast had risen to 177.
