A huge fire broke out today in the Magharia-Al-Auja area in the town of Mashghara in the western Bekaa, Lebanon, and destroyed large areas of fruit trees, the third of its kind within two weeks.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that “the fire destroyed large areas of fields planted with fruit trees, causing heavy losses in apple orchards,” noting that the civil defense teams, in cooperation with the people, managed to besiege the fire and limit its spread and worked to prevent it from reaching citizens' homes.
There were no reports of casualties from the fire.
