Mogadishu (AP) - In a large-scale terrorist attack on a hotel in the Somali capital Mogadishu, at least 15 people were killed, including three of the Islamist attackers. At least 28 other people were injured, the police said on Sunday.
A government spokesman told the German Press Agency in the evening that the attack was still ongoing and the number of victims could continue to rise. According to him, of the original five extremists, two were last in the four-story building. The police feared they had hostages under their control.
In the first reports, there was initially talk of five fatalities. The Islamist militia Al-Shabaab confessed to the bloody act.
