The data arrived in Olivos at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday: Alberto Fernández learned it after an internal notification that reached the Minister of Security Sabina Frederic, the official who was asked by the President to follow up on the case due to the disappearance of Facundo Astudillo Castro .

The information that reached Olivos on Saturday night revealed the discovery of a "skeletonized" body -according to the forensic term- which, at first glance, prevented identity from being determined.

Fernández had chatted on the phone days ago with Cristina, Facundo's mother, the young man who on April 30 left his home in Pedro Luro and whom she did not see again.

In the Government, after the shock by the news, there were inquiries about the progress of the investigation . At that time, there were no certainties about when, how and where the autopsy and DNA analysis would take place to determine if the body is, or not, Facundo Astudillo Castro.

The President maintained several contacts with Facundo's family , always privately. The last was last week, according to sources from the presidential environment.

Frederic also spoke last night with Chief of Staff Santiago Cafiero. The minister explained that the Justice had given the order to surround the area and wait for the arrival of the experts to carry out the reconnaissance tasks.

In the Government they bet that the case "be clarified by judicial means, which is the corresponding instance" and that, in case of responsibilities, the political sector will have to make decisions.

Facundo Astudillo Castro, disappeared since April 30 in the area of the Villarino district, in the south of Buenos Aires.

"We need to know what happened to Facundo. I want us to find him and, if someone was responsible for an illegal act, he has to bear the consequences," said the President ten days ago.

That, eventually, would correspond to Axel Kicillof , the Buenos Aires governor. "We are not going to cover up for anyone," said Kicillof, who learned of the discovery also on Saturday night, by a call from Bahía Blanca.

It was just after the complaint that a body had been found.

Máximo Kirchner, national deputy, broke a long media silence this weekend to discuss the issue. "I fully trust Axel, I know him, I know how he thinks, I know how he acts, I know about his decision and I believe that his words are enough to understand that this type of situation, regardless of who governs, should not happen," said the national deputy .

Due to the suspicions of the Buenos Aires Police, the search rakes were carried out by members of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) , who depend on Frederic.

The national minister is also the direct link that Kicillof has with the case, as explained in La Plata to this newspaper because the investigation is in the hands of the prosecutor Santiago Ulpiano Martínez and the troops are from federal forces. In addition, the Buenos Aires Minister of Security, Sergio Berni, in a public confrontation with Frederic, is isolated because he tested positive for coronavirus.

Experts from the Supreme Court team are also involved and, on the same Saturday, the Forensic Anthropology Team , a specialized body of international recognition that was formed to determine the identity of the disappeared, was requested to intervene , later, in the recognition of nameless soldiers buried in the Falkland Islands.
