The fire brigade of the Civil Defense Branch in Homs extinguished today two fires affecting weeds and forest trees.
Brigadier General Ghayath Aqil, Director of the Governorate’s Civil Defense Branch, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the branch’s members put out a fire that broke out with weeds and forest trees near the spinning company in the industrial zone on the Homs / Hama road, and another fire broke out with eucalyptus trees and herbs on the side of the international road, Homs / Tartous, in the Hodeidah descent area in the countryside Western Homs.
Aqil called on citizens not to throw cigarette butts on the roadside or set fire to prevent fires.
It is noteworthy that the firefighters in Homs put out a fire that affected trees and herbs yesterday, on the Homs-Damascus road in Al-Konfai region.
