Mexico prepares television channels and schedules for the transmission of distance classes

(CNN Spanish) - The Secretary of Public Education of Mexico, Esteban Moctezuma, reported that this Sunday night he will announce the planning of television channels and schedules where they will broadcast the classes remotely, facing the beginning of the school year at level basic next August 24.

The official said that the educational agency will officially expose the channels and schedules for broadcasts at the preschool, primary and secondary levels. The course will be taught through radio, television and the internet, to avoid face-to-face classes in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Public Education Secretariat (SEP) said that administrative staff will help deliver the more than 180 million free textbooks throughout the Mexican Republic. The distribution process is expected to take place over the next eight weeks.
