In Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, they are not moved by the negative reactions of some Islamic countries, and react to them strongly.

The Foreign Ministry in the Emirates yesterday summoned the second secretary of the Iranian embassy in Abu Dhabi for a reprimand call - in response to Tehran's threatening reactions regarding the normalization agreement with Israel.

"We were not moved by the protests of Iran, Turkey and the Palestinians," a senior United Arab Emirates diplomat said in an interview with Israel Today. "We did not think that the Palestinians would bless us with flowers and roses, but if Abu Mazen thinks that Iran, Turkey and Hamas will work better for Palestinian interests - he is welcome to join them."

According to the diplomat, "the Palestinian street is also aware that the doctrine adopted by Abu Mazen regarding peace and stability in the region is no longer relevant, and only harms Palestinian interests."

Short adjustment period

As for the direct talks with Israel, the senior official added that "our goal and that of the Israeli negotiating team is to close all ends of the normalization agreement quickly and exhaustively. It is estimated that already in October we will be able to present a full agreement that the leaders will sign. "

He stressed that relations between the two countries would mature into full diplomatic relations, including the establishment of embassies and the replacement of ambassadors, within a few months of signing.

The vision, in his view, "is to enable economic, technological, tourism, medical and other collaborations, and after a short adjustment period, the embassies will open."

The senior official refused to disclose whether Bahrain and Oman would also sign agreements with Israel in the near future. However, "the possibility that Morocco and other Arab countries in Africa will do so is quite realistic."
