US President Donald Trump has promised tonight (Sunday) to launch a controversial move that will lead to the return of all UN sanctions on Iran following the rejection of the US proposal to extend the arms embargo

. "you will see it next week." this clause states the nuclear agreement with Iran was signed in 2015, and which can be forced to re sanctions on Tehran if she violates it.

However, Washington withdrew from the agreement two years ago, it expected the diplomatic confrontation in the security Council of the United Nations Around the question of whether it has any authority to do so. The Trump administration says it remains a "participant" in the nuclear deal, despite its unilateral withdrawal with a view to concluding a new agreement.

Trump added that he is not expected to attend the summit he proposed for a conference on Russian President Vladimir Putin. "I think we'll wait until after the election," Trump said. Putin has called on China, France, Britain, the United States, Germany and Iran to convene a virtual emergency summit to prevent an escalation in tensions in the Gulf. They are all part of the nuclear deal.

Except for the United States, only one other country - the Dominican Republic - out of the 15 companies supported its proposal to extend the embargo, which is due to expire in October. European countries that opposed US withdrawal from the nuclear deal abstained. Russia and China objected, but they did not even need to exercise their veto. European countries have said they doubt Washington's ability to impose sanctions back on Iran and experts warn the council could degenerate into one of the worst crises in its history.

Iran has said the United States has failed to kill the "half-live" nuclear deal, in which it received relief from sanctions in exchange for halting the development of its nuclear program. "The United States conspiracy has failed miserably," President Hassan Rouhani said yesterday. "This day will be recorded in our history and in the history of the struggle against world arrogance."

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has made it clear that Washington will continue to put pressure on Iran and has expressed disappointment with the positions of European countries. "Disappointing that France and Britain did not support what the Gulf states asked for, what the Israelis asked for, I deeply regret it," Pompeo said during a visit to Poland. "The United States is determined to ensure that the Iranians and this regime, this theocratic regime, can never cause further damage."

Israel also strongly condemned the vote. "The decision is scandalous," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said yesterday. "Iranian aggression and terrorism threaten the peace of the region and the entire world. Instead of opposing the sale of weapons, the Security Council encourages this. We will continue to work closely with the United States and countries in the region to curb Iranian aggression."

The conventional arms embargo is set to end on October 18, in accordance with the nuclear deal. European countries have agreed to extend it, fearing a threat to stability in the Middle East, but have made it a top priority to preserve the nuclear deal. This is despite the Iranian violations, such as the increase in the enriched uranium reservoir, which came in response to the American retirement.

The United States has sought to extend the 13-year embargo indefinitely, but Iran has warned before the vote that if that happens, the nuclear deal will collapse for good. Tehran claims to have the right to self-determination, while its rivals fear military intensification

"The result once again shows that there is no unilateral support, and that bullying will fail," the Chinese embassy's Twitter account said.
